Marché Gourmande

In July and August, don't miss the marché gourmande, or food market. On the square there are several stalls with different types of food from local producers. Bread, wine, all kinds of fruit and vegetables, but also snails, mussels or foie gras are always present. The butcher will prepare your chosen piece of meat on his barbecue and further on you can choose a vegetable plate, a plate of chips or already one of the delicious desserts. Take a seat at the long tables under the old plane trees and listen to French chansons while enjoying the delicious meals.

Morning and evening markets

In the Lot-et-Garonne there are two types of markets in most villages and towns. Morning or evening markets are announced via pancartes along the access roads, via the municipal website or by handing out flyers at other events. The markets take place in the streets but also in authentic village squares. They are pleasantly busy and are usually held in the morning or before the Marchés Nocturnes, in the evening. You can navigate between the stalls filled with all kinds of homegrown fruit and vegetables, spices, flowers, clothing and other trinkets.

Antique markets

It is always fun to go looking for gadgets or curiosities. Because here you can still find things in their authentic state. To crown it all: a long aperitif and then something to eat in a local restaurant. This antiques market is held in Monflanquin once a month on Sundays. Not to be missed
